GYLC Moments 2015

So I recently got back from my trip to Washington, DC and New York City ! I went through a program called Envision, on their Global Young Leaders Conference.

It was the most amazing experience I have ever had and will cherish the moments made there for the rest of my life.

Thank you to all of the most amazing people I have met through this prorgram, for making my trip the experience that it was.

I love you guys and will miss you so so so so much

INTRODUCTIONS

Hey guys ! 

So I never made a proper post introducing myself and my intentions for my blog, so better late then never I suppose !

I'm Bella and I am 17 years old. 

I've always loved reading blogs and watching youtube videos so I thought I might step outside of my comfort zone a bit and start a blog ! 

I want to create a space where I can share my thoughts, adventures, ideas and life. 

I have a ton of ideas for upcoming blog posts, starting with my travel blogs ! I am going to Washington, DC and New York City next week so I will be posting lots of amazing photos and talking a little bit about my experiences in those amazing places. I have never been to Washington or New York so this is going to be a great adventure! 

I don't really have a set theme for my blog, I'm just going to share anything that interests me or anything that I'm doing. Like my travels, food recipes, fashion, beauty, books etc. 

I hope you guys like my blog and keep coming back to continue reading, I would really like to create a little community here on the internet through my blog !

BERRY YUMMY SMOOTHIE BOWL

Hello loves ! So today I wanted to share with you my absolutely FAVOURITE smoothie bowl recipe ! If you guys didn't know, a smoothie bowl is literally a smoothie drink in a bowl with different toppings. The smoothie bowl trend has been crazy lately and I am definitely a lover of the smoothie bowl ! They are super yummy, healthy, filling and easy peasy to make !

Here is how I make my smoothie bowls !

First, you will need:

1 cup of almond milk (or any liquid base of your choice)

1 banana

1 scoop of protein powder (I use vanilla pea protein)

1 spoonful of cacao powder

about a cup of berries (honestly I don't even know, I just do it by eye)

Handful of spinach

Then throw it all in the blender, I use a nutribullet and highly recommend !

After its all blended, pour your smoothie into a bowl and top it with any thing you would like ! I usually top mine with more berries, shredded coconut and some muesli !

Now enjoy your delicious smoothie

BIRTHDAY FLOWERS

I am a huge flower lover, so my friends know me well when for my birthday they surprised me with an array of beautiful different flowers ! I have arranged them in different little vases and placed them around my room. I think flowers add a beautiful pop of colour to your room, they bring a sense of life and vibrance.

TOO FACED CHOCOLATE BAR

So, being a lover of make up and the Too Faced brand I had to get my hands on the Chocolate Bar palette, that everyone seems to rave about on the blogging world. And the good attention is well deserved ! I absolutely adore my palette and have used it every single time I put on my make up since I got it for christmas, which was six months ago! 

There are thousands of reasons I am in love with this palette, the colours being one. The colours in this palette I am constantly using, and all provide numerous different eye shadow looks! The shadows are so creamy and pigmented, plus the blend really easily and stay on for the whole day! Most of the time when I apply these shadows I do match it with the Too Faced primer, which helps the shadows to last just a little bit longer. Personally though I think you don't even need the primer as the shadows are just so good !

Too Faced is hands down my top favourite brand, not just because their make up is worth the buy but also the packaging is so unique ! Too Faced use beautiful girly fun colours and their products also smell friggin amazing, this palette really does smell like chocolate. The names of the shadows are also absolutely devine, ranging from Salted Caramel to Crème Brulee, the names are too cute.
